 Thursday afternoon will start with an interactive tour of the history of the English language.  Following we will install new officers, award the Distinguished Service Award, the Mary L. Brown scholarship and the realtime contest results. Mike Appelman will then be on hand to talk about troubleshooting realtime problems and also introduce us to his line of wireless reporting devices.  Those who are interested will meet at the Lagniappe Rooftop Wine Garden in Valley Junction for
the West Des Moines Farmers Market and an opportunity to earn .1 point, shop (not only food but crafts), gather for drinks and a couple of stores will be open exclusively for us. 

Friday morning we're off to Camp Dodge for a tour of the Iowa Gold Star Museum and the Joint Forces Command Headquarters.

Maid-Rite will cater our lunch on site.  We will return to the motel for our afternoon session withthe Survive Institute.  Debbie and Mike Gardner will teach us how to avoid threatening situations and, if necessary, physically handle/protect ourselves without having to learn and remember complicated manuevers.  They have appeared on TV programs such as the O'Reilly Factor, The Morning Show, Montel, Sally Jesse Rafael and many others.  They have been featured in Vogue, Cosmo and many national newspapers.  Friday late afternoon we hope everyone will join us for the first, hopefully annual, trivia contest.  There will be a cash bar, free hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, prizes, prizes, prizes and a ton of laughs.

Saturday morning we will hear Alfredo Parrish highlight some of his high-profile criminal cases, then Neil Prati of Joseph's Jewelers will dazzle us with diamonds and precious gems.  Show and tell has never been like this.  Dr. Cherny will finish the morning with terminology and informationon cosmetic surgery and cosmetic treatments that are available today.
