Linda
Dona, immediate past president of ICRA, is currently a broadcast closed captioner
for VITAC. She has worked as a captioner for the past 2 ½ years.
Prior to becoming a broadcast captioner, Linda worked as an official reporter
in state court in the First Judicial District and Sixth Judicial District
of Iowa and also as a federal realtime official reporter in U.S. District
Court in Detroit, Michigan. Linda has freelanced in Omaha, Nebraska,
taught court reporting at the Nebraska College of Business, and worked as
a CART writer for the Michigan Association of the Deaf.
Linda enjoys her work with ICRA, as it’s a way for her to give back to a
profession which she finds so rewarding and continually challenging.
In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with her husband and friends,
traveling, gardening, cooking, reading, and doing volunteer work.
