Iowa Court Reporters Association

My name is Joni Crossland, and I live in Fairfield. I am a 2005 graduate of AIB. I have been an official court reporter in the 8th district for the Hon. Michael R. Mullins out of Washington, Iowa, for two years.

I am currently planning a wedding, so after October 20th of this year, you’ll know me as Joni Fleig. (I’m still getting used to that idea!) I enjoy taking walks, reading (non-transcript related, of course!), shopping, traveling, road trips on our Harley, and I dabble in scrapbooking.

I am looking forward to this opportunity to be on the ICRA Board of Directors. I consider myself a “newbie” court reporter and am always full of questions – just ask some of the other District 8 reporters who frequently receive my emails!

I know I have lots to learn about this unique profession, and am looking forward to adding my newcomer perspective on things to the Board. I would love to hear from you, and I hope to meet many of you at conferences and other events throughout the year.
