I
have been an official reporter for the last 14 years. My first two
years I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, and worked in juvenile court with the
Honorable Thomas Dawson. I then moved back to Iowa in ’95 and have
primarily worked in juvenile court with the Honorable Karla J. Fultz.
I am currently working with District Court Judge Martha L. Mertz covering
the rural counties in the Fifth District. I have for the past 14 years
truly enjoyed the profession of court reporting. What a wonderful career
it has been.
I live in Osceola on an acreage with my husband Mark and what we consider
our children, our five dogs. We have four Chinese Shar-peis: Dale,
Sadie, Rocky and Willey. Then we have our stray that showed up 2 ½
years ago, our Border Collie, Bondo. They are our pride and joy, and,
of course, the entertainment at our household.
During my spare time I enjoy reading, fishing, motorcycle riding and just
spending time outside. I also spend as much time as possible with my
two nephews, Riley and Drake, who love spending the weekends with us.
I have been secretary for PCCSRA for the past three years and am looking
forward to being treasurer for ICRA and becoming more involved in our profession.
