I
am honored to serve as Secretary of ICRA. My reporting experience includes
30 years as an official court reporter in the Eighth Judicial District and
instructing realtime reporting and voicewriting at AIB College of Business.
I recently completed my Master’s Degree in Education at Clarke College.
Currently, I work as a broadcast closed captioner with Caption Colorado.
With
this broad background, I enjoy contributing to board discussions concerning
every facet of the court reporting profession. I live in Ottumwa with my
husband, Jerry, who is a teacher at Ottumwa High School and an adjunct instructor
at Buena Vista Universtiy. Our daughter, Amy Sue, is a senior at Barnard
College of Columbia University in New York City.
My
hobbies include Girl Scouts, traveling, gardening, singing and dancing with
Ottumwa Community Players, serving as treasurer of the Wapello County Historical
Museum, mentoring students through ICRA and NCRA, and spending time with
my family and friends. Please feel free to contact me with your ICRA questions
or concerns at any time.
