Born and raised in northwest Iowa, I attended court reporting school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After graduation and certification, I began freelancing in Sioux City. In February 2000 I began working for District Court Judge John Ackerman in Sioux City and District 3B. Judge Ackerman wanted realtime. While I was nervous about providing realtime, (I had never even written realtime for myself) I told him I would but that it wouldn’t be pretty at first. Diving in head first was the best thing I could have done. One of my proudest accomplishments was passing the CRR test in November 2002. I currently serve as Iowa’s Chief Examiner for NCRA testing.
My husband Matt and I reside in Kingsley and enjoy spending time with our 8-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.
I look forward to continuing to serve our association.
Misty Bubke, CSR, RDR, CRR
