Originally from Ames, Iowa, I attended AIB College of Business in Des Moines and graduated in 2002, a month before marrying my husband. We packed up and moved down to Kansas City, Missouri, where I began working as a freelance reporter for AAA Court Reporting in Overland Park, Kansas. In 2004, we decided we wanted to be closer to our family, so we moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and I began working as an official in district court for the Honorable Timothy O’Grady, a position which I still maintain today. I also worked for three years for Burns Transcription doing Internet captioning and offline captioning of a variety of focus groups, meetings, and medical boards.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my two-year-old son Henry and three-month-old son Sam. I also enjoy trail riding with my trusty stead, Duke, and am active in variouslocal animal rescue groups.
I currently serve as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and as the editor of In Verbis. I look forward to working with the board and serving the members of our association as your new official director.
