The association's purpose shall be to promote and advance the interest of those persons engaged in the profession of shorthand reporting throughout the state of Iowa, to develop greater awareness in appreciation for the profession through public education, and to generally promote the shorthand reporting industry.

Court Reporter News/Updates
- AIB is making available a great opportunity for 15 reporters to earn 1.8 CE points through participation in a grant-funded realtime mastery workshop the weekend of July 30, July 31, and August 1. The workshop will be fully funded by a grant, though reporters will be responsible for lunch on their own each day and for applying for CE credit if they choose to do so ($40 for NCRA).
